Sapling Events Rebrands 3 Signature Events

Three Madison Tech Events Rebrand

Jim and Jenifer Remsik came back from Jacksonville Beach, FL in 2011 with a roadmap for the first Madison Ruby. As they attended other events, plans for their own event took shape: give people a reason to visit Madison and let the city and its special inhabitants do the rest of the work. Three years on the recipe is producing delicious results.

Jen is a master of conference logistics, while Jim helps orchestrate a compelling program. The events are sprinkled throughout iconic downtown Madison venues. Naturally weaving in events like Art Fair on the Square, the Farmer’s Market, and the area awash in world-class food and drink options. Downtown Madison provides a beautiful backdrop upon which creative and technical communities are invited to play.

The three conference-sized events are a large undertaking, but we feeling they can accomplish more. The Remsik’s have sought to simplify the effort of new events and unify under one brand. All three conferences, will be impacted not only in name, but also visually. Meet Madison+.

Madison+ Ruby

The flagship event, Madison Ruby, looks almost exactly the same. Madison+ Ruby will maintain its well-known ruby-based logo, originally designed by Mike Rohde. The plus symbol has been added to bring all the events under one name. The conference itself will continue along its current path meaning you’ll know what to expect and hopefully be surprised… again.

Madison+ UX

The change is a little more striking for the other two events. UXMad becomes Madison+ UX and moves away from the 8-bit blue and red graphics. Madison+ UX earns a simple emerald-like treatment providing an elegant experience our ux-perts are sure to appreciate.

Madison+ Mobile

Snow*Mobile Conference becomes Madison+ Mobile. The smallest event, due in large part to its winter-in-Wisconsin setting, receives a gorgeous sapphire snowflake treatment.

Madison+ Morning Blend

Madison+ Morning Blend events have already taken place at Barrique’s Downtown Madison location with the goal of bringing together people across disciplines. Early feedback about conference social activities indicated a desire for non-alcoholic alternatives. The Morning Blend is the morning version of the well-attended High Tech Happy Hour, with a focus on makers.

Madison+ The Future

This is our first year since 2011 in which the couple haven’t added a new conference. So far this year has been focused on this re-branding effort, developing the Madison+ site and planning for the future. They would love to hear what conference, meetup, or topic Madison needs next (contact@madisonpl.us). Ideas heard already include Music, Movies, Javascript, and more.
